VATRA ADHC in consultation with a registered nurse, physician, and pharmacist, has developed and implemented written policies and procedures governing medications. The drug program shall at all times be managed and supervised by the registered nurse who is authorized to procure, receive, control, and manage the administration of medications at the center.
Physical, speech/language, and/or occupational therapy is provided as part of a planned program that is designed, established, and directed by a qualified therapist. Skilled therapeutic services must be ordered by a physician and be designed to achieve specific goals within a given time frame.
Assistance is provided for bathing and dressing when the participant’s requires either direct care or constant supervision, transfers when the participant must be assisted or lifted to another position, ambulation when the participant must be physically steadied, assisted, or guided in ambulation, personal hygiene, etc..
The Center will offer nutritional counseling to the members by the Registered Nurse, consumer shopping advice, and menu planning will be provided under the supervision of a registered nurse and dietitian and, if necessary, the member’s family.
The Center shall have a clearly defined plan of care developed by qualified personnel to assist participants with adjustments to the social and emotional aspects of their illness, treatment, and participation in the Program. The Social Worker shall be involved in the establishment of treatment goals for each individual participant.
